Larks are known for their melodic song, and they are one of the few birds that can sing in flight. They are also small, with neutral coloring, to blend into their surroundings.

Meet Your Chief Lark Mary Hunter

Research and Insights

Twenty years ago, Mary left her job at a contemporary art museum to join a global market research company. She got her start in US multicultural insights, as she is bilingual in Spanish and has considerable expertise in Latin American cultures.

Over time, she took on broader domestic and global work at several large and small consultancies. Her love for research grew with every project, which included a broad range of quantitative and qualitative solutions.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

In 2016 Mary joined a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) consultancy, where she launched a successful practice area dedicated to DEI assessments and analytics. She collaborated with industrial-organizational psychologists and DEI practitioners to design measurement frameworks and best practices and consulted with clients on their DEI data needs.

Ardent Communicator

She is a seasoned presenter who delivers consumer and employee insights to top-level executives. She has also spoken at client and industry events and written about DEI, inclusive research practices, and US multicultural research.

Background

Mary earned a Master of Arts in arts administration from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in art history from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with minors in Latin American studies, Spanish, and studio art. She is fluent in Spanish, having studied and worked in Latin America for several years.

Fun Stuff

Mary loves to travel, having visited over 30 countries. She is currently planning a road trip for her family through Spain and Portugal. Libraries and art museums are her happy places. And she is thrilled with her recent move back to her native Nebraska. You read that right. Nebraska.

Mary has pivoted more than once in her career, so she knows the power of combining transferrable skills with an adventurous spirit.
