Our Approach to Data Storytelling

With over 20 years of experience, we’ve crafted hundreds of reports and presentations to share insights pulled from many different data sources. We have experienced the frustration of pouring hours of hard work into research and analysis, only to have key insights dismissed or ignored.

Our journey led us to data storytelling. Through extensive research and exploration of various approaches, we uncovered compelling reasons to embrace storytelling techniques—and discovered many ways to bring them to life. 

And yet, we also encountered a critical challenge: consistently applying data storytelling is no easy task. Every project is unique, tackling different problems with varied data types and sources, all under tight deadlines. Mastering this balance is what sets impactful storytelling apart.

So, we developed a six-step process to effectively guide us every step of the way, from project kick-off to results delivery.
